Depression Fix

We all get the blues sometimes.  What do you do to cheer yourself up?

I've been so depressed lately.  But last night, I rediscovered this gem which cheered me up a bit.  Wanted to share with you the moment I discovered one of my all-time favorite bands Radiohead, fell in love with Johnny Depp all over again, and rediscovered my love of French cinema.  Yes, I speak French... en peu.  In fact, I met a beautiful African man recently who didn't believe that I could speak French.  So, I told him to ask me anything in French.  He asked me what do I like to do, and he was shocked when I repeated his question in English and answered him in French.  He even said my accent was perfect.  Truth be told, I was shocked too.  Haven't spoken Francais since college!  😁

The Orlando Massacre

My heart breaks for the family and friends of all the victims. The only way to prevent another tragedy like this is with love and compassion, not fear, anger, and hate. Compassion even for the perpetrator. We cannot give into the rantings of bigots and captains of industry (ie. NRA & Trump) who use tragedies like this to promote their political agendas. If we don't stand up as one human community united, then our community will be hopelessly divided. I hope we learn from history that ostracizing and punishing groups of people based on race and religion only plays into the hands of terrorist groups who seek to destroy us all. Terrorists know that the more individuals feel isolated and disenfranchised from society, the more susceptible they are to being manipulated into committing heinous acts of violence. I pray that we will all heal and learn from this. Because if we don't learn to stand up against bigotry and so-called gun rights in America, then these atrocities will keep happening. I love you all, my brothers and sisters!

PEACE and LOVE
